CERAMITEC 2006 classified as international leader by the sector
• Results of survey very good
• Decision-makers from the sector assess market situation as positive


The results of the survey for CERAMITEC 2006 confirm its leading international role among events for the sector. According to the survey by TNS Infratest, 85 per cent of the exhibitors assessed the outcome of the fair as “good to excellent”. Eighty-six per cent of exhibitors gave the same top mark for the level of internationality of the visitors, and 89 per cent classified the calibre of trade visitors as very high. “Now as ever, we regard CERAMITEC as the leading ceramics fair where there is a great concentration of decision-makers”, says Detlef Brands, Sales Manager at Schunk Ingenieurkeramik. In keeping with the positive mood in the halls was the assessment regarding the current state of the sector: 72 per cent of exhibitors evaluated the market situation as “good to excellent”.

Of CERAMITEC’s trade visitors, 91 per cent have decision-making authority in their companies according to TNS Infratest. Seventy per cent of visitors stated that they wish to visit the next CERAMITEC again in the year 2009. Eighty-six per cent gave the trade fair top marks with regard to “presence of the market leaders”.

For this the 10th International Trade Fair for Machinery, Equipment, Plant, Processes and Raw Materials for CERAMICS and POWDER METALLURGY, around 22,000 trade visitors came to Munich from 106 countries – almost as many visitors as at
CERAMITEC 2003, although the current CERAMITEC had been shortened by one day. More than 50 per cent of the trade visitors came from abroad. Apart from Germany, the most trade visitors came from Italy followed by France, Turkey, Austria, Spain, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Poland, Iran and Russia.

At CERAMITEC 2006, 612 exhibitors from 42 countries presented their products and services ranging from coarse and fine ceramics, technical ceramics and raw materials production right down to the refractory industry and powder metallurgy. After Germany, Italy was the biggest exhibiting country internationally.
