Steigenberger Hotel de Saxe Dresden, Germany: This is what a new hotel should be like!

Feuring – Visionary Hotel Development developed the hotel concept

Mainz/Dresden, 10 April 2006
This is what a new building should be like! After a two-year building period, the Steigenberger Hotel de Saxe Dresden opened its doors on April 3rd. The four-star superior hotel, which disposes of 185 guest rooms, was completed at the scheduled date and amongst hospitality experts is considered to be the ideal example of a new four star business hotel. The hotel concept was developed by Feuring – Visionary Hotel Development. The company with its head office in Mainz, Germany also acted as adviser on the architectural concept and initiated the lease agreement with Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts AG for the project developer Baywobau Dresden Baubetreuung GmbH.

The hotel is one of the first buildings at the historical Neumarkt opposite Dresden’s famous Frauenkirche (Church of our Lady) to be re-used and the reconstruction of its impressive façade was based on historical plans of the “Hotel de Saxe” which previously existed here from 1786 to 1888.
The new building complex also offers a number of high class retail shops and gastronomic facilities which reflect the hotel’s high standard of character.
