Hotel developments will focus on German-speaking countries

July 10th, 2007 The international hotel consulting group Feuring and the real estate company Vivico are pooling their know-how and man-power for projects in the German-speaking countries. Initially, Viador GmbH, which has just been founded, will become active in a number of Vivico projects.

Viador will provide services and advice to hotel projects. As a first step, the company will be active in a number of Vivico projects; at a later stage, it wants to include other developments in the German-speaking countries - independent of the Vivico portfolio.

“Our properties have a lot of potential for use as hotels, however, until now we have concentrated on the development of city quarters and the realisation of offices and accommodation”, says Bernhard H. Hansen, CEO of Vivico. “With the joint venture, we are securing specific hotel know-how and with the Feuring Group we will have an acknowledged and experienced partner at our side”, Hansen says.

Berno-H. Feuring, founder of the Feuring Group, emphasised that it will be possible to continue the group’s international expansion whilst at the same time pooling knowledge and manpower in the German-speaking countries with Vivico. “The joint venture is very important to us, as we can operate faster and more efficiently with a financially strong partner such as Vivico at our side”, Feuring says.

Vivico has a 70 % and Feuring a 30 % share in the company. The first pro-jects Viador will tackle are possible hotel projects in the Lehrter Stadtquartier in Berlin and in the Europaviertel in Frankfurt.

Feuring – Visionary Hotel Development
For more than 48 years now, Feuring – Visionary Hotel Development – pledges for the success of first class and deluxe hotels that are in line with the market’s requirements and up till now has advised on or developed more than 400 projects either on its own behalf or on behalf of hotel operators or institutional and private investors. A high standard of quality is the com-pany’s declared mission and yardstick.

Feuring operates as an international development and consulting company and is well known in the German-speaking countries for the successful ad-vice on and development of – to name just a few - the Le Royal Méridien Ho-tel in Hamburg, the Le Méridien Hotels in Munich and Vienna as well as the Steigenberger Hotel de Saxe Dresden, which opened only last year. The pro-ject portfolio unites some of the most innovative ideas and concepts in the hospitality sector.

Feuring’s full scope of services reaches from location and market feasibility studies to turnkey project developments including construction supervision and interior decorating, object evaluation and market-placing up to operative management and advice. The company has its headquarters in Mainz, Ger-many.

Some of the projects, Feuring is currently either developing or providing ser-vices for, are the InterContinental Resort in Davos, the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Düsseldorf, an InterCity Hotel in Mainz, a Golf-Resort in Greece, a resort in Garmisch-Partenkirchen as well as some other city hotels in Frankfurt, Berlin and Saarbruecken.
