BITS Pilani celebrates National Youth Day
National Youth Day celebrated at BITS Pilani
Birla Institute of Technology and Science - BITS Pilani which is one among the top ranking universities in India today celebrated the National youth Day on 12 January 2009 to commemorate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda who became globally known after his famous address at Parliament of Religions held in Chicago in 1893.
A lecture highlighting the famous quotes of Swamiji which inspire the youth was organized at the Lecture Theatre Complex of BITS Pilani. Prof BR Natarajan Dean Work Integrated Learning Programmes Division, Prof N V Muralidhar Rao Dean Student Welfare Division and Prof Vimal Bhanot Coordinator for NSS spoke on the occasion which was enthusiastically attended by many students.
The students who attended the lecture were urged to take inspiration from the Swami Vivekananda quote "Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success".
