Marsden aims to cut human error and business costs with new

UK weighing scales manufacturer, Marsden, are aiming to streamline how factories and warehouses work - with a brand new range of multifunctional industrial weighing scales.

The new weighing scales are designed to automate processes such as filling, batching, recipe formulation and loading, and this, Marsden says, will help reduce user input and relieve operatives for other duties.

The range features two stainless steel indicators - the I-500 and the I-550 - which have upto 16 inputs and outputs available. This means they can be used to switch other devices or systems on and off, send weighing data to printers or PCs, and record weight data from other weighing areas.

Outputs available include analogue 4-20ma current loops.

Being able to record weight information can help with compliance and keep company records updated. The I-500 indicator features a 64k internal memory for storage of product information.

Marsden’s Managing Director, Richard Black, said: “"With these new industrial scales, we're aiming to save businesses money."

"They make many processes more streamlined, and because they can be used to switch on or off feeds and other devices, we're cutting out human error and reducing waste or over-production. Plus, we can make these to order, bespoke to customer requirements."

Operations Director, Mark Coates, added: “At Marsden, we believe we can meet almost any weighing need - and the capability of these indicators means our weighing scales can now do even more.

“The indicators are available with platforms, weigh beams, u frames, drive thrus or bench scales - or our factory can build you a bespoke solution.”
