Press release from: Thieme Publishers

New York/Stuttgart, October 2008 – While working in dental education, Dr. Leif Tronstad, a professor at the University of Oslo, recognized the demand for a straightforward, yet comprehensive textbook about endodontics (root canal treatment). During that period, the author envisioned a book that could simultaneously serve the needs of students while operating as a resource for professionals. Clinical Endodontics, published by Thieme, fills both voids. Due to the success of the previous two editions, the publisher is releasing a third edition.

Summaries as well as extensive information regarding examination methods, diagnoses, treatment and retreatment principles are included in the book. Several of the 570 plus illustrations are from cases treated in the Penn Postdoctoral Endodontic program at the University of Pennsylvania. This fully revised book includes up-to-date as well as new information and maintains the format of the previous two editions.

This introductory level text is remarkable in its cohesiveness, argumentation, and didactic clarity. All of which makes for a winning combination for dental students, general practitioners, and endodontists.
