bellybutton: first store in Munich

For more than ten years, bellybutton has been one of the leading companies for stylish fashion and skin care, all related to pregnancy and motherhood. So far the products of this Hamburg based company have been exclusively available through retail or internet. The first bellybutton boutique will open in cooperation with Schlichting GmbH & Co. KG in Munich, September 18, 2008. Customers are welcome to experience the world of bellybutton on a sales area of more than 100 square metres. From maternity wear, children’s clothes and adorable gifts, one can find everything at one location. “The first bellybutton boutique represents a milestone for us, we have been looking for a long time.” says Astrid Schulte, CEO “We had been waiting for the opportunity for an own store and Schlichting kindly offered us their support in the realization of this project. I am certain that we will jointly succeed.” To increase brand visibility among customers, a successful start in Munich is intended to be followed up by further stores in other major cities.
