Press release from: Dunlap Industries Inc

Dunlap, Tennessee, April 11, 2017

Dunlap Industries has historically been committed to exceeding customer expectations when it comes to product quality and customer service. Another focus is to be positive contributors to our community. By utilizing today’s latest, environmentally sustainable technologies we are able to accomplish both!

“Dunlap Industries is very thankful for the opportunity to fulfill, in one project, both our mission of making a positive impact on the community and of providing the best value in the industry to our customers.” – Robert Kwasnik, President of Dunlap Industries, Inc.

About the Solar Generation System:
In 2013, Dunlap Industries implemented a lighting retrofit that reduced energy costs by 8%. In an effort to further minimize energy waste, lower operating costs across our production and distribution facilities and improve our competitiveness, Dunlap once again reached out to EnerG3 who provides strategic energy management solutions. EnerG3’s analysis showed that on-site energy generation made perfect sense.

“This investment allows us to continuously improve our process and competitiveness while at the same time reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to the quality of life for the next generations” – Robert Kwasnik President of Dunlap Industries, Inc.

Dunlap’s two roof-mount solar systems have a total capacity of 258.8 kW or approximately 390,193 kWh annually. Their electrical load is projected to be reduced by approximately 78% thus removing an estimated 297 tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere each year. This figure equates to saving approximately 22,846 trees or 63 cars taken off the road per year.

“A lot of folks were involved in this project from EnerG3, Tennessee Solar and JDH Roofing to Dunlap’s team, SVEC, TVA, and the Department of Agriculture! This would not have happened without them performing their critical roles. I want to thank each of them!” – Robert Kwasnik, President of Dunlap Industries, Inc.
