Daytime Emmy Winner Anna Holbrook Opens VIP Profile on US Actors

PHOENIX, Arizona - September 28, 2026 - Anna Holbrook turned an off-Broadway detour into one of daytime's most watched performances. As Sharlene Frame Hudson on NBC's Another World, she logged 236 episodes across more than a decade and won the 1996 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. USActors.com has added a VIP profile for the Fairbanks-born, Tucson-raised actress whose work now spans soaps, primetime, holiday features, and Connecticut stages. USActors.com allows actors to list their profiles at no charge. Casting directors who search the directory nationwide can find that Emmy role and a long guest-star career on one page.

Anna Kathryn York was born April 18, 1957, in Fairbanks, Alaska, and grew up in Tucson, where Western companies-Gunsmoke, The High Chaparral-used local kids on location. She studied at the University of Arizona and Trinity, married Bruce Holbrook in 1979 at the Air Force Academy Chapel, and built a working life around his flying career. Commercials in Dallas led to New York theatre, then to Another World in 1988. Sharlene was a demanding part-including a dissociative-identity storyline Holbrook researched with psychiatrists-and audiences stayed with John and Sharlene as one of the show's favorite couples. She returned after a 1991 exit, worked through 1997, and came back again in 1999.

When her children, Johanna and Henry, were young, she chose a long stretch at home in Connecticut. When she came back to sets, the work was rich: four roles on Law & Order, four on Law & Order: SVU, The West Wing, Spin City, Dr. Hannah Young on One Life to Live, Blue Bloods, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Bull, The Blacklist, Homeland, Hunters, Harlem, The Equalizer, Paulina Barlowe on Elsbeth (2026), and Debbie in the Sister Swap films with Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Ashley Williams. She appeared in I Love Trouble and keeps a full stage life, including Charlotte in Moon Over Buffalo at Music Theatre of Connecticut. She teaches at the Performing Arts Conservatory in New Canaan. Bruce retired from Delta. They still live in Connecticut.

A production that wants an Emmy winner who can carry a soap arc or disappear into a single primetime week can pull that range from one listing. The VIP page is at https://usactors.com/listing/anna-holbrook/.

About USActors.com

USActors.com is a nationwide actor directory that casting directors, producers, and filmmakers can use as a practical tool for casting projects across the United States. Talent is organized so a production can search by city, state, metro area, age range, look, experience, union status, and skills, then contact actors directly from their public pages. The same database covers local hires in one market and multi-state searches when a project shoots in more than one city. Actors list their profiles at no charge. Casting directors use the site to find and consider that talent for work nationwide. Web: https://usactors.com. Holbrook listing: https://usactors.com/listing/anna-holbrook/.

US Actors exists so a production can look for people the way it actually shoots: across states, not only inside one agency Rolodex. Performers post profiles at no charge-pictures, reels, credits, union card, specs, hometown, how far they will travel, and the skills a breakdown lists-and those pages stay public. Casting directors cut the list by metro, age, look, and experience, then write the actor from the page. The same search handles a single-city day-player and a project that lands in three markets. Named actors can be added as VIP profiles so a longer career sits higher in that hunt. Nobody is signed, nobody owes a commission, nobody is exclusive. It is a national casting map: free to stay on, open to use from anywhere in the United States. https://usactors.com
