New fully funded Skills Bootcamp, delivered with Oxfordshire County Council, Enterprise Oxfordshire Skills and support from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), is helping local learners and businesses use AI to build practical tools, products and new opportunities.

Enterprise4All (E4A) has launched its first AI Product Builder Skills Bootcamp in Oxfordshire after filling all 30 available places ahead of the cohort start date earlier this month.

The fully funded 8-week Skills Bootcamp is supporting Oxfordshire learners, including self-employed people, business owners, freelancers, career changers and opportunity seekers, to use practical AI and no-code tools to build real apps, tools and digital products without learning to code.

The Skills Bootcamp marks the first time Enterprise4All has partnered with Oxfordshire County Council and Enterprise Oxfordshire Skills, with support from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), to deliver this kind of practical AI product-building training in the county.

Unlike traditional AI awareness courses, the AI Product Builder Skills Bootcamp is focused on real-world application. Learners are being supported to identify a problem or opportunity, shape an idea, build a simple working product, test it with real people and create something they can show, improve or use.

For business owners and self-employed learners, that could mean building a booking tool, quote estimator, client onboarding tool, product recommendation tool or internal system that helps save time and improve how they work.

For career changers and those looking to create new opportunities, the Skills Bootcamp offers a practical way to build proof of what they can do using AI and no-code technology.

The launch comes at a time when many small businesses are under pressure from rising costs, time constraints and changing customer expectations, while AI and digital tools are becoming increasingly important to productivity, resilience and growth.

Malin Patel, CEO of Enterprise4All, said:

"We're incredibly proud to have launched our first AI Product Builder Skills Bootcamp in Oxfordshire, and the fact that all 30 places were filled well ahead of the start date shows there is real demand for this kind of practical support.

"This is not about teaching people AI theory. It's about helping people use AI and no-code tools to solve real problems, whether that's inside their business, for their customers, or as part of a new opportunity they want to build.

"At a time when many small businesses and individuals are trying to do more with less, practical digital skills can make a real difference. Our aim is to give learners the confidence, structure and support to build something useful, not just learn about the tools."

The AI Product Builder Skills Bootcamp is being delivered through live online sessions, cohort-based learning and practical project work. Learners are being guided through an 8-week journey from idea and problem validation through to building, testing and presenting a working product or prototype.

The Skills Bootcamp is fully funded for eligible learners, helping remove the upfront cost barrier for people who are ready to commit, build and apply new skills in the real world.

Phil Araujo, E4A's AI Trainer, said:

"The people joining this cohort are not just here to learn about AI. They are here because they have something they want to build.

"My role is to help them think like product builders: understand the problem, build a simple version, test it, improve it and keep moving. The most exciting part is seeing non-technical people realise they can create something real with the tools now available."

Enterprise4All hopes to make more fully funded AI, digital and product-building Skills Bootcamp places available in the near future, potentially across Oxfordshire and additional regions throughout the UK.
