At the Second International Participants Meeting (IPM) for Expo 2027 Belgrade, the Slovak Republic officially unveiled the identity of its national exposition under the theme "Slovakia - Playground of Opportunities". Built around the official Expo concept idea, Play for Humanity - Sport and Music for All, Slovakia has positioned itself as a place "Where Play Becomes Opportunity."

The presentation was made in Belgrade by Lukáš Parízek, Commissioner General of the Slovak Republic for Expo 2027 Belgrade, during a working visit focused on technical coordination, partner engagement, and preparations for Slovakia's national participation.

"Here in Belgrade, we are presenting Slovakia as a dynamic space where playful curiosity is a fundamental tool for progress, innovation, and human development and where play transforms into tangible innovations, social resilience, and personal connections" said Lukáš Parízek, Commissioner General of the Slovak Republic for Expo 2027 Belgrade.

Slovakia has been among the earliest and most active participants in preparations for Expo 2027. It was the first country to sign the participation agreement with the organisers and will be represented by an individual Medium pavilion in Hall 6, with a 648 m2 footprint across two levels. The pavilion will be located in a prominent international zone near several of the Expo's most prominent and globally influential participants, creating strong potential for visibility, economic diplomacy and joint programme formats.

During the visit, the Slovak delegation held coordination meetings with partners and neighbouring participants in Hall 6, conducted bilateral discussions with representatives of several participating countries, including Germany, the US, Hungary, France, Russia, and Montenegro.

Slovakia's presentation in Belgrade will build on its strong Expo track record, with a focus on interactive, participatory formats that move beyond traditional static displays. The national exposition will present Slovakia as a modern, innovative and attractive country for tourism, investment, culture and international cooperation.

The Slovak pavilion will be built around four strategic pillars: next generation tourism, business, culture, and sport. Slovakia Travel is responsible for the preparation and implementation of the national exposition and for coordinating Slovakia's presentation in cooperation with public and private sector partners.

Expo 2027 Belgrade will be the first world exhibition ever held in the Western Balkans and offers Slovakia a major multilateral platform to strengthen its international profile, promote innovation and tourism, and create new opportunities for business and partnership.
