Lingibli - a mobile guide to start learning a foreign language, at home and on journeys abroad

Bratislava, March 14, 2012 – Lingibli, the education startup based in Slovakia’s capital Bratislava, presents this week the first big update for the iPhone and Android app. Three months after the launch of the new language learning tool and some international attention and feedback, the founders of Lingibli grant their users with new functions for social media sharing, additional free pronunciation and the addition of the Slovak language.

Sharing the Learning Experience on Facebook
Users registered in the Lingibli Facebook Group are encouraged to share their learning experience with their friends. When learning a new word or phrase with the app, the user may hit a button and the word or phrase is published on his or her facebook wall. As a reward, the language learner who connected his Facebook account with the app is granted with additional free content from the Emotions category. “This way, my friends can see my progress when I’m learning a new language, comment on it and keep me motivated” says Adam Sabla, Product Designer at Lingibli.

Added Free Pronunciations
Lingibli allows users to label the things around their home or office and use the Lingibli app to scan these labels and listen to the pronunciation. Instead of just two, users now get all 20 word labels unlocked in the free version. "We have noticed that a lot of our users are not using the labels and are therefore missing a great advantage of Lingibli" says Milan Schnorrer, Co-Founder of Lingibli. "That is a pity and should change."

Slovak Language Finally Added
The updated version supports Slovak – the native language of the startup’s origin country. Lingibli now provides its users with 19 languages and is working on Japanese, Korean and Chinese (Mandarin) at the moment. Native speakers of the fictional languages (Klingon and Elvish) are still being looked for. They are welcomed to drop a mail at office@lingibli.com , subject "Elvish" or "Klingon".

Lingibli is available on the App Store and the Android Market, the free labels are downloadable at www.lingibli.com .

Lingibli, a Bratislava-based education startup, gives its users an understanding of the basics of a foreign language in a fun way without having to spend any additional time.
