The new sensor module enables accurate grain level measurement and silo volume monitoring by using non-contact laser distance sensing technology. Installed at the top of a grain silo, the sensor measures the distance to the grain surface and converts this data into height and volume estimates.

With a measurement accuracy of ±1 mm and a range of up to 80 meters, the module supports a wide range of industrial applications where reliable distance measurement is required.

The compact sensor measures only 7 × 28 × 17 mm and supports multiple communication interfaces including TTL, RS-232, and RS-485, allowing easy integration into embedded controllers and industrial monitoring systems.

Distance sensing technology is increasingly used in agricultural automation, robotics, and industrial measurement systems where non-contact monitoring improves reliability and reduces maintenance.

Integration and Customization for Diverse Systems

The laser distance module supports seamless integration with embedded controllers, PLC systems, and industrial networks through its versatile interface options. Its compact form factor and low weight also make it ideal for space-constrained automation projects, robotics, and process control installations beyond grain storage.
