High-Precision iToF Technology
The LDL-T leverages indirect Time-of-Flight (iToF) phase-shift measurement technology(https://meskernel.net/en/laser-distance-sensor-technology/), a method known for its superior distance resolution compared to direct ToF approaches. It achieves an industry-leading accuracy of ±(1mm + D/10000) and a resolution of 1mm, making it ideal for applications where every millimeter matters. The measurement range spans from 0.03m to 60m, covering both short-range and medium-range scenarios.

Flexible Measurement Modes
Users can choose between single measurement and continuous measurement modes. The continuous mode supports adjustable frequencies of 5Hz, 30Hz, or 100Hz, allowing developers to balance speed and power consumption based on real-time needs. A simple 0x58 command instantly exits continuous mode, giving full control to the host system.

Ultra-Compact and Lightweight
With dimensions of just 27.87mm × 17.03mm × 7.01mm and a weight of approximately 3 grams, the LDL-T is one of the smallest laser distance modules in its class. This compact form factor enables seamless integration into space-constrained products such as drones, robotic vacuum cleaners, and portable laser rulers.

Low Power for Battery-Powered Applications
The LDL-T is optimized for energy efficiency. It supports two power supply versions:

Dry cell version: 2.5-3.6V (3.3V typical)

Lithium battery version: 3.5-4.2V (4.0V typical)

In continuous measurement mode, power consumption stays below 100mA (dry cell) or 80mA (Li-ion). Standby current is under 30mA, and shutdown leakage is as low as 8μA, making the LDL-T ideal for battery-operated devices.

Robust Communication and Networking
The module features a USART interface (TTL 3.3V) and can be extended to RS232 or RS485 via external level conversion. It supports baud rates from 9600 to 115200bps (auto-baud detection) or fixed baud rate options.

A standout feature is multi-module networking capability: up to 8 modules per network segment and a maximum of 128 modules across multiple segments. This allows developers to build distributed distance sensing systems for applications like warehouse inventory tracking or robotic swarm coordination.
