mobinteg launches the “Uber of Ambulances”

Lisbon, January 25th, 2017: Call an ambulance through an app? Now it’s possible thanks to the system for ambulances and non-emerging patient transport companies, fully developed and supported by Portuguese company mobinteg, that seeks to be a bridge between applicants and providers, to provide a more convenient, fast and efficient service.

The purpose of this "Uber of Ambulances" is to facilitate the communication between applicants and providers of non-emergent transport services. The system is also complemented with a platform, accessed via web browser, in which the person in charge of the service can manage and monitor the relationship between providers and applicants.

This innovative system is already implemented and available, with Sacred Cross EMS, the largest non-emerging patient transportation company in the state of Texas (USA), as its first customer. Sacred Cross EMS offers intensive care services, advanced life support, bedside patient support, basic life support, and wheelchair transportation.

In this case, the user can create his profile, indicating his biographical data, address (which will be automatically georeferenced), health care and transportation requirements. You will then have access to a section where you can request the service, indicating the place of collection and final destination, and also the status of requisition, confirmation of services and billing.

One of the particularities of the platform is the fact that multiple patient/patient transport can be required simultaneously, which allows, for example, to respond to the needs of homes, day centers and similar bodies.

On the side of the service provider, the teams on the ground receive through their mobile application all the details of the services to be provided, once again georeferenced, avoiding communication problems and operational management.

The solution also integrates a central component of dispatching, through which the service requests are managed, the teams in the field are allocated, and the quality of the service is monitored.

But this platform is not just for non-emergent patient transport services. According to Pedro Geraldes, co-Founder and Partner of mobinteg, this solution is totally customizable and can be applied to other businesses that involve requesting services with collection and delivery logistics, such as florists, laundries, pharmacies or meals.

All apps built with this technology are compatible with iOS and Android operating systems.
