Focus on email security: Sophos releases EMS and DMARC Manager
Sophos has added two new components to its email security portfolio. The Sophos Email Monitoring System (EMS) offers passive email monitoring for XDR and MDR environments without active intervention in the mail flow. In addition, the DMARC Manager ensures higher delivery rates and better protection against spoofing through automated management of SPF, DKIM and DMARC policies.Sophos EMS: Telemetry level for MDR/XDR - without active intervention
The new Sophos EMS is aimed at organizations that do not use an active Sophos email security solution but still want to integrate email telemetry data into Sophos XDR or MDR. EMS passively analyzes inbound and outbound email traffic - without filtering content or altering deliveries.
By using journal-based copies from Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, threats such as phishing or malware can be analyzed retrospectively. The results are stored in the Sophos Data Lake and are thus available for correlations with other endpoint, network or cloud data. In addition, EMS enables a clawback function to manually retrieve suspicious emails.
Sophos EMS is particularly suitable for:
* Companies with existing email security solution from other vendors
* Existing Sophos MDR or XDR users who want to integrate email telemetry
* Organizations with compliance requirements for forensic email monitoring
DMARC Manager: protection against spoofing and better deliverability
In addition, DMARC Manager is an add-on for EMS and Sophos Central Email Advanced (CEMA) that supports the protection of domain identity. The solution enables DMARC policies to be managed centrally in Sophos Central, unauthorized senders to be identified and compliance with regulatory requirements to be documented using automated reports and dashboards.
The benefits of Sophos DMARC Manager include:
* Protecting brand reputation by preventing domain abuse
* Higher delivery rates through consistent SPF/DKIM/DMARC configuration
* Reduced administration effort through automated monitoring and alerts
The DMARC Manager is licensed per mailbox, with a minimum number of 25 licenses. EDU or GOV conditions are currently not available.
Sophos EMS & DMARC Manager: Integration & deployment scenarios
Both solutions are fully embedded in Sophos Central. While EMS is a passive telemetry module that complements hybrid infrastructures, DMARC Manager acts as a management and enforcement tool for centralized authentication protocols. Together, they enable a modern email security architecture with high transparency without having to replace existing gateways or filter solutions.
Availability via Firewalls24.de
Both solutions are available via Firewalls24.de, Aphos GmbH's purchasing platform for Sophos products. The team of experts at Firewalls24.de provides support in the selection of suitable license packages, integration into existing security concepts and migration scenarios.
