Sophos Phish Threat playfully increases security awareness in companies. ( (C) Aphos GmbH / Firewalls24)

From December 10, 2025, every Sophos Email license will include the Sophos Phish Threat awareness tool at no extra charge. The cloud-based email security solution Sophos Email detects threats using artificial intelligence, sandboxing and impersonation protection. Phish Threat is an integrated platform for awareness of cyber threats and phishing.

Sophos Phish Threat offers realistic phishing simulations, interactive learning modules and detailed evaluations of security behavior. The aim is to systematically raise employees' awareness and permanently increase their resistance to social engineering.

What changes for customers with licensing

While new Sophos Email customers will automatically receive Phish Threat as part of their license, the module will be activated automatically for existing customers without any additional effort. For customers who previously only had Phish Threat, nothing will change.

Key features of Phish Threat at a glance

* Over 500 simulated phishing templates and more than 100 awareness training sessions
* Risk-based campaign management with automated evaluations
* Outlook add-in for active reporting of suspicious messages
* Scorecards for learning progress and individual risk profiles

Comprehensive protection against phishing and social engineering

Sophos Email analyzes incoming emails in multiple stages, checks content, sender and context using artificial intelligence and executes unknown attachments in an isolated environment. Link rewriting, sandboxing, anomaly detection and impersonation protection protect against targeted attacks and novel tactics.

The integration of Phish Threat ensures that not only technology but also the human component is actively included in the security strategy. Suspicious emails can be reported directly and awareness campaigns are planned and rolled out centrally.

Available at Firewalls24.de - also as a standalone product

Licenses for Sophos Email with integrated Phish Threat functionality can be purchased from 10 December 2025 via the cybersecurity store Firewalls24. If you are only interested in awareness functions, Sophos Phish Threat can still be purchased separately as a standalone solution, for example to supplement existing email security infrastructures from other manufacturers.
