Classic and advanced out-of-band management for secure administration

Atlantik Elektronik supports data center and enterprise management with configurable out-of-band (OOB) management solutions for security-critical IT architectures. These solutions enable a reliable, centralized and automated system for controlling and restoring infrastructure components, even in the event of an operating system failure and without physical access.

Unpredictable network failures, failed firmware updates, configuration errors, increasing cyber attacks or natural disasters place high demands on the reliability of modern IT infrastructures. Increased by the decentralization of data centers, AI workloads and edge implementations, robust and automated IT management tools have become particularly important.

Atlantik Elektronik offers three levels of security and convenience for managing distributed data centers and enterprises with classic in-band management, classic out-of-band management and advanced OOB solutions from the Lantronix LM series. For each management option, the Atlantik Elektronik team can draw on standard solutions as well as customize solutions for specific use cases.

In-band management
The cost-effective in-band option uses the primary network to manage servers and infrastructure components and is ideal for applications with low resilience requirements.

Out-of-band management (classic)

In classic out-of-band management, a separate management network is used that operates independently of the primary network. This means that even if the main network fails, the console can still be accessed and firmware updates and system restarts can be carried out remotely.

Extended out-of-band management (LM series)

The AI-supported console servers of the LM series from Lantronix enable advanced, automated infrastructure management. They also operate over a separate management network and offer comprehensive remote maintenance, analysis and recovery capabilities, significantly reducing the need for on-site visits.

With the matching Lantronix Percepxion™ and Control Center platforms, the LM series OOB devices and connected network resources can be managed centrally and efficiently. This makes monitoring and management particularly secure and simple at the same time.

As an experienced design-in partner, Atlantik Elektronik offers both standard and customized integration solutions for OOB management in data centers. Individually configurable in-band solutions are also available.

BEL Power DC-DC power supply unit SPSPFF3-0X

The SPSPFF3-0X power shelf solution provides reliable rectification, system management and power distribution with space for up to six hot-swappable PFF3000-12-069RD DC-DC power supplies (40-72 VDC input, 12.5 VDC output) to power intermediate bus architectures in servers, routers and switches.
