Press release from: Vierling Communications GmbH

Roadshows and technical training for dealers to follow

Ebermannstadt, Germany – March 13, 2008. Vierling and Aastra DeTeWe have successfully completed testing of the Ecotel ISDN GSM gateways in Vierling’s Ecotel ISDN series in conjunction with OpenCom PBXs from Aastra DeTeWe. This process allows the manufacturers to ensure compatibility between their systems so that mutual customers can easily deploy Vierling Ecotel ISDN GSM gateways and Aastra DeTeWe OpenCom PBXs together. A joint marketing campaign including roadshows and technical training sessions for specialized dealers and systems houses is planned as a follow-up to the test process. Vierling plans to continue expanding its cooperative efforts with the world’s leading manufacturers of PBXs in the future.

OpenCom PBXs exhibit outstanding tolerance
“The tests we performed with OpenCom PBXs from Aastra DeTeWe were very impressive”, said Bernhard Emmert, team leader in Vierling’s development unit. “With certain PBXs from different manufacturers, special synchronization settings are sometimes required. However, the Aastra DeTeWe systems are so tolerant that such measures were generally not needed.” To support technicians when setting up and configuring Ecotel ISDN GSM gateways, Vierling and Aastra DeTeWe compiled the results of their tests in an installation sheet that includes related technical information and installation & configuration tips. Vierling installation sheets can be downloaded from the Vierling website for all of the popular brands of PBXs.

Added value with solutions from the quality and technology leader
“We think that Ecotel ISDN GSM gateways from Vierling represent an outstanding addition to our OpenCom PBXs”, said Thomas Stephan, head of product management at Aastra DeTeWe, Germany. “Vierling GSM gateways help our customers to significantly reduce the cost of making calls to mobile radio networks. These tests were intended to ensure that our customers will have access to a solution that is fast to deploy from the quality and technology leader in GSM gateways.” Vierling and Aastra DeTeWe also launched a joint marketing campaign to let their customers know about the added value obtained by combining Ecotel ISDN GSM gateways and Aastra DeTeWe OpenCom PBXs. A roadshow is planned in Germany in the summer for specialized dealers and systems houses.

Technology partnerships for long-term success
Vierling likes to make it as easy as possible for dealers and systems houses to work with Ecotel GSM gateways. The company emphasizes ongoing compatibility tests with leading PBX manufacturers along with joint technical training and comprehensive installation support. “At Vierling, quality means delivering solutions that have been 100% tested and are dependable and easy to get up and running”, said Wolfgang Peter, managing director of Vierling. “Ongoing tests with leading manufacturers are an important component of our strategy for long-term success.”
