studentSN.com – The student Social Network has got some surprises for its users next week
studentSN - Events, Filters, Open Profiles
The possibility to post events is going to close the gap between groups and statements, meaning the users will finally be able to point others to upcoming events, re- and preview them or just look up what's on in the city of their choice. Additionally in the user's profile a list with the attendend events will show up, so that friends will know where to meet for some offline activities or create gatherings.
Other than that the studentSN-members now have the choice whether they want their profile to be browsable from outside the network, meaning that non-members can look them up on e.g. google without being logged in to the studentSN-network. The benefit hereby is that users who want to be found now have to possibility to show themselves off to the outer world. As a matter of course it's just an option that users can enable in their privacy settings to make sure nobody gets exposed to the public without approval.
To wrap the whole thing up there are going to be mailbox filters in the future, dividing the user's mails into the ones he got from friends, from groups and from non-friends. Optionally members are able to view all message accumulated. Thus it's far more easy to overview the different kind of mails you got, making your online life easier.
