Lisbon, November 10th 2016 – After the interaction with ibeacons e Google Eddystone, SMIITY, an app created by mobinteg that allows cities to communicate with tourists and citizens, now has a new complemente. Its the SMIITY Box, a device that evaluates, in real time, the quality of the air and the environment in the place where the user is.

The SMIITY Box allows to evaluate the quality of the environment and the air thanks to five sensors installed in the equipment: temperature, humidity, carbon monoxide, ambient sound and particle meters. And it is, in parallel, another step taken by mobinteg to make cities more intelligent and interactive.

With internet connection, it sends the collected data to a cloud platform, where SMIITY entities, responsible for continuous improvement of cities, can later see and analyze them.

SMIITY Box is intended as an affordable investment solution for assessing the quality of the environment and air, which can also be used in areas such as shopping centers, cinemas or restaurants. For example, if you enter a store and use the SMIITY Box you can have an estimate of the noise pollution levels, the ambient temperature or if there are particles in the air.

SMIITY intends to imply to cities if these environmental factors have an impact on the flow of citizens and tourists, by correlating this information with their interaction with the beacons.

SMIITY and Blueticket make it easy to buy tickets
Have you ever happened to pass by a concert hall or a museum and want to know what upcoming events or exhibitions are going to be featured? Are you fed up with ticket sales and looking for the best deals online? Now it's all simpler. All because SMIITY has partnered with Blueticket, which allows app users to purchase tickets as they are passing through the cultural venues.

Besides the possibility of direct purchase and later storage of the ticket in the smartphone, the events of Blueticket are promoted in SMIITY, in a module of its own. Events will emerge according to the user's location and their interaction with the beacons that are placed in the buildings.

For example, if you are a fan of Elton John and would like to attend the concert at MEO Arena, scheduled for December 11th, you just need to install SMIITY, turn on Bluetooth, go to the largest concert venue in the country and receive a list with the schedule. Then the user just has to select the concert he wants to see and buy the ticket.
