Elvas: the Municipality that communicates with tourists
Lisbon, November 29th, 2016 - The Municipality of Elvas, in partnership with mobinteg and Skillmind, presents the app CM Elvas – Património Mundial. Available for free for Android – and briefly for iOS – this will allow tourists and citizens to have access, in one place, to news, events, points of interest and pedestrian routes within the municipality.One of the differentiating and pioneering factors of this solution is that it is innovative both nationally and transnationally. This is because it is a technology that values the user experience, who can, through mobile devices, receive useful and current information about the municipality, automatically, whenever approaching a beacon (Apple iBeacon and Google Eddystone).
For example, in the case of the Forte de Nossa Senhora da Graça, the user will have access to information inside and outside the monument, so that no details of the history of the building remain to be told. In addition, citizens and tourists will be able to see other points of interest in the surrounding area and thus choose which one to explore next.
The CM Elvas app is based on SMIITY - SMart Interactive City’s platform and was developed in close partnership between the Municipality of Elvas and mobinteg, a company specialized in the development of mobile solutions with national and international experience, which is part of the Skillmind group, with experience in design and management of projects, consulting services, development and marketing of software, design and web services.
