Finding the Match

EXECOM headquarters, Novi Sad, Serbia (January, 2008) – Two years after the very first successfully delivered project two software companies, WCC and EXECOM continue to cooperate. The start project goal was to improve job fill rates quickly, while fast matching of volumes of data is still being improved and enriched with effective features.

Project overview: The primary objective of this project was to upgrade the possibilities of the core process of the customer, namely matching candidates to vacancies and vice versa. The business drivers of this enhancement were twofold:
- Better performance
- Better results

WCC outsourced all programming activities to EXECOM, a proven and experienced IT company. WCC’s Consulting Services worked with the team of the customer to meet their requirements, delivering a matching system, built on the superior ELISE search and match engine. This matching system was implemented in record time and within budget, allowing the staff of their customer to maintain the internal corporate policy of working smarter, not just harder. The matching system allows users to process clients much faster and equips them with better information to make more quality matches for their clients.
WCC Consulting applied their A3D approach, and a fixed timeframe to this project:
Analyze the feasibility of the problem/solution. The goal was to have an operational solution within 6 weeks.
Define in detail what needed to be done – the user interface for entering search criteria and display of information about the results of a search operation.
The Developing part of this project has been outsourced to EXECOM, based upon on the specifications. EXECOM has proven to be able to deliver, under time pressure, results that exceeded expectations.
Deliver was about supporting the staffing company with the functional testing of the application. During this interaction EXECOM was standing by to deliver final updates based on the feedback from the staffing company and WCC Consulting.

Execom solutions: From the very beginning of the project development, EXECOM team worked very closely with WCC’s experts in order to gain thorough information on the staffing company’s existing system. The main problem of this company was that their current application was not able to deliver search results quickly, so the goal of the new application that was to be developed would be to enable the recruiters to find easily and intuitively the best candidate for the job or the best job for the candidate. EXECOM found that the best way to develop a project is to create a data factory layer that communicates with ELISE. This system was built in a way to enable a user to enter search criteria and get feedback in a very short period of time. The core trait of the application was that it contrives fuzzy search, which was a great shift in matching disparate volumes of data.
The final result was an easy to use web application.

Benefits: This project led to a full satisfaction of the staffing company, WCC and EXECOM. The greatest benefit for EXECOM was an opportunity to create a flexible web based application. EXECOM’s experts learned how to explore and work familiarly with the latest web technologies.
All three companies have obtained many major interests:
- EXECOM deployed a system which can be easily used and implemented;
- The staffing company didn’t have to develop and design a whole new system which saved a great amount of time and money;
- As a web based application, this solution provides services to branches all across Europe in the simplest way;
- WCC and EXECOM have established a strong partnership which enables sharing and promoting of the latest technologies ;
- The end users have cut time and costs down by fast retrieval of meaningful information.
