Accord University Launches Chess Club with Weekly Sessions to Boost Cognitive Skills

Accord University is pleased to announce the launch of its official Chess Club, spearheaded by the Accord Students' Union. Starting this semester, the university will offer weekly chess sessions aimed at enriching students' intellectual development and providing a platform for recreational engagement.

The sessions will take place every Saturday and Monday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and will be conducted at the university's dedicated chess hall. These sessions are made possible by the university's collaboration with Abdulkadir Mohamed Warsame, the current 2024 African Individual Chess Champion, who will serve as the club's official trainer. His expertise and leadership will undoubtedly contribute to the growth and success of the club, providing students with valuable insights and strategic skills in chess.
