CERAMITEC from 20 to 23 October 2009 in Munich

Trade fair with the widest variety of international suppliers and products
- Innovations portal for technical ceramics

The new dates for CERAMITEC 2009 are now fixed – the 11th International Trade Fair for Machinery, Equipment, Plant, Processes and Raw Materials for Ceramics and Powder Metallurgy is to take place from 20 to 23 October 2009 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre.

“CERAMITEC is the trade fair with the biggest variety of suppliers and products for the ceramics industry – from raw materials, to preparation and forming, the firing process and packaging,” said Eugen Egetenmeir, a member of the Management Board of Messe München.

Despite the high concentration of events in the sector in 2006, the last CERAMITEC demonstrated its position as the leading international trade fair for the industry. The event attracted more then 22,000 trade visitors from 106 countries. 612 companies from 42 countries came to exhibit in the four halls. After Germany, Italy provided the strongest contingent of exhibitors.

At CERAMITEC 2009 the emphasis will be on creative product development and flexible, efficient systems for powder metallurgy, for the classic ceramics fields of sanitary ware, crockery, building products, refractory ware – and for the ever more important field of technical ceramics. For this area in particular CERAMITEC 2009 will offer an innovations portal, for the presentation of new applications and components in the mobile communications and automobile industry, in environmental, medical and armouring technology.
