EMG Named #2 Eco-Co. for 1:1 VDP Solution

IRVINE, CA – Earthbound Media Group (EMG) was named Orange County’s second top green company in OC Metro’s recent cover story titled “The Green Teams.” The story listed 23 area businesses considered to be making innovative strides toward eco-responsibility, and EMG was one of the only businesses listed to offer sustainable solutions for other, like-minded organizations.

EMG’s own Executive Producer and managing partner Dr. Blaine Behringer was featured along with EMG’s professional solutions and one-to-one Variable Data Publications (VDPs).

“It is exciting to be recognized for the innovative marketing solutions EMG develops not just on a creative level but also on a social and environmental level,” explained Principal and Executive Producer, Dr. Blaine Behringer. “One of EMG’s core objectives is to develop solutions that enhance our client’s brand and profitability that will also be eco-responsible and relevant to the end-user.  Through VDPs, we give our client’s target audiences what they want, making our clients more profitable while improving the environment at the same time.”

The VDPs mentioned in the OC Metro story leverage technology developed by EMG to collect information from consumers in an online form which generates digitally printed and personalized 1-to1 brochures. Because the recipient is receiving a targeted message, these publications are smaller than traditional publications significantly decreasing the paper and ink used as well as the fuel required for shipment while increasing the message’s effectiveness. Also, the content in these print-on-demand VDPs can be updated at anytime meaning that EMG clients aren’t ever faced with throwing stacks of outdated publications or mailings in the dumpster.

“VDPs look like any other brochures or postcards,” said Lawrence Williford, EMG’s Lead Art Director. “The biggest difference is the recipient finds the information and content is exactly what they requested and speaks to psychographic messaging needs variable upon the information they submit about their gender, ethnicity, age, geographic location and interests. This makes the message highly effective and accepted.”

EMG is taking strides toward being greener because the organization recognizes that what is now a fad will soon become a necessary way of life. EMG’s hope is that its efforts not only inspire action from EMG team members, but their families, colleagues and clients as well. Other EMG eco-friendly initiatives include using green and postconsumer materials whenever possible, offsetting carbon footprints through tree planting, giving starter trees as client and employee gifts and supporting green initiatives and events locally and globally.
