EMG Wins Platinum Ava Award
IRVINE, CA – Celebrating 2008 as its most award-winning year to-date, Earthbound Media Group (EMG) is excited to announce its latest win – a Platinum award from the 2008 International Ava Awards. EMG received this Platinum award within the Ava Awards’ Webmercial category for the viral online marketing video titled “Ultimate Ninja,” viewable on You Tube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BVdFxLBS14.“This award is just the cherry on top of 2008 for us,” said EMG Content Director Amanda Vande Brake. “Having received such high quality acknowledgement and praise this year is a fantastic thing for our team and our clients. This Ava Award is also special because we’ve earned it in the online commercial category which is a medium we consistently excel in and thoroughly enjoy producing.”
Developed as one of six comedic web advertising spots promoting the features of client Kofax’s Virtual ReScan (VRS) software, the 30-second “Ultimate Ninja” ad features a ninja-turned-office employee who accidentally makes a mess of his coworkers’ reports only to have the crumpled papers instantly scanned and corrected by Kofax’s VRS software. The commercial was also strategically produced to be received positively across the board amongst online and offline audiences and earned high marks from the Ava Awards judges in the areas of concept, writing, direction, shooting and editing.
Of the 2,200 entries submitted by companies and individuals worldwide, EMG was among the 15 percent who received the prestigious Platinum Award – the show’s highest honor. Submitted by international video and film production companies, advertising agencies, PR firms and individual producers and directors, Ava entries were judged at random and each was read and discussed individually by experienced professionals who evaluated work under the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals’ standards of creative excellence.
Entries in this year’s Ava Awards included film, analog and digital productions viewed in a wide variety of mediums including movie screens, televisions and computers. The Ava Awards are administered and judged by the AMCP and recognizes submissions for demonstrating high standards of excellence in terms of quality, creativity and resourcefulness.
