Oshtoran Syndrome: Prof. Dr. Carolina Diamandis Receives Award for Groundbreaking Lecture from H63D Syndrome Conference
The permanent H63D Conference, which acts as a liaison between the two leading H63D syndrome research groups, has honored Prof. Dr. Carolina Diamandis for her pioneering lecture on Oshtoran Syndrome (H63D Syndrome Type-3) at the MJFI Hellenic Chapter. Prof. Dr. Diamandis is the Director of LCG Research, Professor at JUC, and Board Member of the International H63D Syndrome Research Consortium. The H63D Conference, which continuously promotes exchange between the "H63D Syndrome Research Consortium" and the "H63D Research Network Adams," has bestowed this award in recognition of Prof. Dr. Diamandis' significant contributions to H63D research.
In her presentation, widely acclaimed in professional circles, Prof. Dr. Diamandis highlighted the often-neglected danger of non-transferrin-bound iron (NTBI) and emphasized its central role in the development of Oshtoran Syndrome. She sharply criticized the widespread ignorance in general medicine regarding the NTBI axiom and its far-reaching implications for patient care. (https://doi.org/10.6084/m9.figshare.26857345.v1)
Key points of the lecture:
1. The critical importance of transferrin saturation and its exponential relationship to NTBI formation
2. The formation of toxic NTBI at elevated transferrin saturation levels
3. The highly complex nature of Oshtoran Syndrome as a multisystemic disease
4. The urgent need for an individualized and highly flexible treatment approach
5. The enormous challenges in diagnosis and treatment due to the extreme unpredictability of the syndrome
6. A passionate call for a paradigm shift in medical education and clinical practice
Prof. Dr. Diamandis emphasized in her lecture: "Oshtoran Syndrome represents one of the most extreme challenges in the medical care of rare diseases. It requires a radical rethinking of our approach to complex, multisystemic diseases and a departure from rigid treatment guidelines."
The award also recognizes Prof. Dr. Diamandis' decades-long commitment to H63D research and her groundbreaking work on understanding and treating Oshtoran Syndrome.
Jacob Adams, head of the H63D Research Network Adams, stated: "Prof. Diamandis' work has revolutionized our understanding of H63D Syndrome. Her research and tireless dedication to patients have improved countless lives and paved the way for future breakthroughs."
The next major international conference, where leading experts from both major H63D syndrome research groups will come together, is planned for 2026. It will represent another milestone in global collaboration and knowledge exchange in this complex field.

The permanent H63D Syndrome Conference is a small but central institution in the world of H63D syndrome research. It acts as a permanent liaison between the two leading research groups in this field: the "H63D Syndrome Research Consortium" and the "H63D Research Network Adams". Its main tasks and functions can be described as follows:
1. Continuous Connection: Unlike traditional conferences that only occur periodically, the H63D Syndrome Conference operates as a permanent institution. This enables continuous exchange and ongoing collaboration between the research groups.
2. Promotion of Knowledge Exchange: The conference serves as a platform for the regular exchange of research results, insights, and hypotheses between the participating groups. This fosters synergy in H63D Syndrome research and accelerates scientific progress.
3. Recognition of Outstanding Contributions: The H63D Conference has the authority to acknowledge significant contributions to H63D research.
4. Coordination of Larger Events: While the H63D Conference itself is continuously active, it also coordinates larger, periodically occurring international conferences, such as the event planned for 2026/2027
5. Bridge-Building between Research and Clinical Practice: By promoting lectures and discussions that encompass both basic research and clinical applications, the conference helps to bridge the gap between laboratory findings and patient care.
6. Promotion of Interdisciplinary Collaboration: As H63D syndrome is a complex, multisystemic disease, the conference encourages exchange between various medical and scientific disciplines.
7. Dissemination of Knowledge: The conference plays an important role in disseminating new insights and advances in H63D research to the broader medical community and the public.
Through these diverse functions, the H63D Conference contributes significantly to the advancement of understanding and treatment of H63D syndrome and promotes close, productive collaboration between leading researchers in this field.

H63D Syndrome Research Consortium Announces Major Progress in Oshtoran Syndrome …
The biennial General Assembly of the H63D Syndrome Research Consortium took place last weekend, reaffirming Riku Honda, a distinguished Japanese biologist, as Chairman for another term.
H63D Syndrome - A rare but dangerous disease
H63D syndrome (www.H63D.org) is a rare condition resulting from a homozygous mutation of the HFE gene H63D. This syndrome is often underestimated by many physicians, despite its severe clinical consequences. Affected individuals typically exhibit either mild but non-reactive…

Amitradicain - New hope for patients suffering from Oshtoran Syndrome?
Oshtoran Syndrome, also known as H63D Syndrome Type-3, is a rare and incurable high-risk disease that progressively worsens. Eventually, individuals may face autonomous dysfunction, jeopardizing the body's self-regulation. Recent research indicates that reducing endogenous stress, not psychologically induced, at this stage can significantly diminish the risk of cascading organ function collapses in affected individuals (Adams et al. 2023).
Until now, there were no specific medications for treating Oshtoran Syndrome (www.oshtoran-syndrome.org). However,…
