Association Announces Senior Travel Discount Offers
A special 2024 $100 senior discount with two leading tour operators has been announced by the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance."Seniors are back to traveling the globe and this savings offer has been well received," explains Jesse Slome, director of the senior-focused insurance organization. Slome, himself, has just returned from a three-week tour to Japan.
The special discount enables seniors booking a first-time land tour or cruise with either Grand Circle Travel or Overseas Adventure Travel to save an extra $100-per-person. "Both of these tour companies offer a wide array of outstanding packages," Slome notes. "They are especially attractive to the growing number of seniors who are looking to travel on their own without onerous single supplement fees."
According to Slome, in 2023, senior travelers aged 60 and above accounted for nearly 37 percent of all travelers. "This was a significant increase from the 16.45 percent they represented in the years 2020-2021," he added. Despite this rise, the percentage of older travelers had not yet returned to pre-pandemic levels, which were at 46.3 percent in late 2019/early 2020.
The top three international travel destinations for American seniors were Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. total U.S. citizen international departures from the United States in March 2022 were 5,864,823, which was a 98% increase from March 2021. In March 2023, a total of 300,896 Americans traveled to Europe.
To take advantage of the special $100 bonus discount offer, travelers booking should use the Referral Code 932109, offered by Jesse Slome when making their reservation. Slome also writes a senior travel blog that can be accessed at https://www.discountoverseasadventuretravel.com.
