Real-Time DAQ Systems

Ver. 6.00.08.01 Adds Support for MATLAB, LabVIEW
CHESTERLAND, OH—June 20, 2016

Jager-ADwin has just released a new version of the ADwin CD-ROM. Version 6.00.08.01 adds more support for MATLAB and LabVIEW, improved cache management, and several minor bugfixes. ADwin data acquisition and control systems are ideal for applications in automotive test, laboratory data acquisition, product R&D and more. The new ADwin CD-ROM is ready for download at CAS DataLoggers on our ADwin Downloads page.

Development Software Support:

Released May 30, the ADwin CD-ROM includes:
• ADbasic 6--T-12 compiler V6.0.1
• ADlog V1.3.0--Supports ADwin’s T-12 processor
• ADcandb V3.0.6.26779

This latest version also adds support for MATLAB, LabVIEW, dotNET and more.

ADwin is Real-Time:

The ADwin CPU processor module is the center of each ADwin-Pro II system. It executes the ADbasic instructions and accesses the inputs, outputs and interfaces of the other modules. Now the new Pro-CPU-T12 processor module offers the highest real-time computing power and is largely software-compatible to previous versions.

This latest ADwin CD-ROM features support for ADwin’s new T-12 processor for ADwin PRO-II systems to ABbasic 6 and the TiCoBasic user interface, along with ADlog and ADpro. ADwin’s development software also features support for the T-12, including for multi-threading applications. Additionally, the ADwin driver now has an even higher Ethernet data transmission rate.

Real-Time Data Acquisition Systems:

ADwin data acquisition and control systems are high-performance real-time systems capable of parallel, individually-controlled processes. These systems can run independently of a PC's operating system to provide deterministic operation with response times of 1 usec. or less. ADwin systems see common use in electrical component testing, sensors and ECU's, control of servohydraulic systems, testing automotive components, motion control, synchronized data acquisition, and many other demanding applications.

The key feature of an ADwin system is its TICO co-processor, which has been optimized for fast reaction and exact timing in a nanosecond time scale. The TiCo processor runs independently as a programmable co-processor which has access to all inputs and outputs and fulfills special tasks such as filtering, data conversion, communication (SPI), signal generation, control, and more.

ADwin data acquisition systems have tightly-coupled analog and digital inputs/outputs along with add-ons like counters and bus interfaces which form the connection to the test stand, allowing for extremely low-latency operation.

Powerful Development Software:

The user-friendly ADwin software environment can be used under Windows (95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Windows 7) and LINUX or as a reliable stand-alone data acquisition system. ADwin also has drivers for many typical programming environments including VB, VC/C++, LabVIEW, TestPoint and others.
