combit Report Server 3 released

Rapid report creation with the new ad-hoc Designer, server-side printing, and conditional formatting – combit Report Server 3 has arrived!

Constance, Germany, 04/12/2016 – Offering a wide range of features while simultaneously improving usability – these goals were achieved in the new version of combit Report Server. With more than 20 new features, users can now create reports more flexibly and easily than before, and also make them visually more appealing.

Among the top features in the latest release is the ad-hoc Designer, which allows users to quickly create lists and charts independently of the Report Server Designer. According to combit, an often-requested feature was server-side printing, and this has been implemented in the new version. It is now possible to print reports at one or more printers connected directly to the server. combit Report Server now also provides new interfaces for the following data sources: Microsoft SharePoint, Cassandra, and MariaDB. The integrated connection to Google Analytics allows to include website analytics in reports. The core of Report Server is the Report Server Designer that has also been updated with many new features. These include nested tables, improved drag & drop experience, and a digital signature field for PDF export. Using conditional formatting, it is now possible to define properties such as colors, font attributes, formatting and borders without complicated conditions. Previous workflows were more time-intensive. Furthermore, the licensing model of the Report Server has also been expanded. combit customers can now choose between 3 editions. The new Ultimate Edition expands on the features of the Enterprise Edition by enabling an unlimited number of users. This eliminates the need for additional licenses.

The outstanding capabilities of combit Report Server have not gone unnoticed. The BI solution from combit was recently designated "Big Data Rising Star Germany" by the independent Experton Group.
