Even faster reports with ad-hoc design, server-side printing, and new data sources – combit Report Server 3 comes with over 20 new features

Constance, Germany, 04/04/2016 – Version 3 of the combit Report Server is even more sophisticated, with more than 20 new features for a more flexible user experience. The manufacturer, combit, plans to release the latest version of its business intelligence reporting solution this April.

The range of new features is extensive. Among the top features are the design assistants, which help the user quickly create lists and charts independent of the Report Server Designer, thus making true ad hoc design capabilities a reality. A frequently requested feature contained in the new version is server-side printing, granting users the ability to send documents directly to printers connected to the server. combit Report Server also supports several new data sources, including Google Analytics, making it possible to integrate detailed visitor behavior and website traffic analyses into reports. Other supported data sources include Microsoft SharePoint, Cassandra and MariaDB. The ability to use conditional formatting without complicated conditions also helps to reduce workloads. Previous workflows were considerably more time consuming. Other new features in the powerful Report Server Designer include nested tables, improved drag & drop, and a window that displays a summary of reported errors together with direct solutions to speed up the reporting process. In addition to the new features, the Report Server licensing model has also been expanded from 2 to 3 editions: The Ultimate Edition enables the combit BI solution to be used by any number of end users.
