Hamburg, September 4, 2023
One of the largest software houses in Central Europe, the Czech IT company Profinit, is expanding into the DACH region. Recognized as one of the top three custom software developers in Czechia by the market research institute IDC, Profinit will now serve the entire DACH region through its newly established subsidiary, Profinit DE, based in Hamburg.
The Hamburg branch of the company is headed by Rainer Vorwerk, an experienced IT manager with over 20 years of expertise in the sector, including extensive work with Profinit during his tenure at M.M. Warburg & CO, where he was responsible, among other things, for the nearshore cooperation with Profinit in the area of software development. Before that, Rainer Vorwerk worked in IT management at Berenberg Bank as well as at Dresdner Bank and Sparkasse Hildesheim. "Germany is an ideal market for Profinit's expansion due to its geographical and cultural proximity. With more than 15 years of experience working with German clients, we are well-prepared to meet their needs," says Rainer Vorwerk, Head of Profinit DE.
Profinit offers a comprehensive range of IT services to clients in the DACH region, including custom software development, data management, and specialized solutions in business intelligence, data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. By leveraging Profinit's Czech, Slovak and Ukrainian skilled developers, companies from Western Europe can save 40-50% on their IT costs. Clients have the flexibility to choose between outsourcing specific software development tasks, expanding their own IT teams with experts, or entrusting complete projects to Profinit.
Profinit's diverse clientele comprises banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, telecommunications providers, pharmaceutical companies, and logistics firms. Notable clients include banking groups such as Erste, KBC, ING and Raiffeisenbank, insurance groups such as Darag and VIG (Vienna Insurance Group), and telecommunications groups such as Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone and O2 Telefónica. With delivery centres in Prague and Liberec in Czechia and Bratislava in Slovakia, Profinit currently serves more than 30 satisfied customers.
Cooperating with Profinit presents several key advantages for clients in Western Europe. "Our nearshore IT services offer an excellent and cost-effective solution to address pressing challenges, such as the scarcity of IT specialists amidst increasing digitalization demands. We can readily communicate and collaborate with our clients' IT teams using popular meeting platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom, or Webex. Moreover, working in the same time zone allows for efficient coordination. Also, Prague's relative proximity makes it easy to arrange on-site visits," highlights Rainer Vorwerk. Another advantage is that Profinit works in the same legal and economic environment, benefiting clients in terms of data protection compliance, including GDPR regulations, as the Czech Republic is an EU member.
According to Statista, the IT outsourcing industry in Germany will grow at an annual rate of 10.65% between 2023 and 2028 and the growth rate will be similar in Europe as a whole. Revenues in the IT outsourcing in Europe are expected to show an annual growth rate of 10.58% between 2023 and 2028: " Interest in IT outsourcing is growing thanks to accelerating digitalization, the wider use of enterprise applications, and the increased popularity of home office setups. More than ever, IT oursourcing is being adopted by large and mid-sized companies across a range of industries from telecoms and finance to e-commerce and manufacturing."
Prague, with its 9 technical universities and colleges, stands as a crucial IT services hub in Central Europe. Major Western European and American corporations, including Siemens, DHL, E.ON, Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Honeywell, Cisco, DXC Technology, MSD, and Red Hat, have established development centres in the Czech Republic, further highlighting the country's prowess in the IT industry.
