Press release from: ESCHA Bauelemente GmbH

The new M12x1 power junctions from ESCHA are available in 'T', 'h', and 'H' housing style (left to right).

The new M12x1 power junctions from ESCHA are available in 'T', 'h', and 'H' housing style (left to right).

Halver, 22 September 2015 – The connector- and housing specialist ESCHA is presenting new junction components for its product line called ‘M12x1 Power’ at this year’s SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg. The so called ‘H-junctions‘, ‘h-junctions‘, and, ‘T-junctions‘ also facilitate a serial wiring structure at field level with power applications up to 630V. In addition, ESCHA will be showing price-optimized RJ45 patch cords in industrial quality for switch-cabinet wiring.

M12x1 power-junctions

The new power junctions supplement the available connector portfolio and provide for a safe power transmission via a compact and proven M12x1-interface facilitating the implementation of a serial power structure following the Bus-structure. Power junctions with S-coding are
particularly adapted for AC-applications (AC-applications up to 12A / 630V), while junctions with T-coding are designed for DC-applications (DC-applications up to 12A / 63V). The alignment of the M12x1-ports (male and female) is possible with diverse configurations providing for high variance and variability.

The connection cross-section up to 2.5 mm² of all ESCHA M12x1 power-products is a unique feature. In contrast to small cross-sections, this feature facilitates a large extension of power distribution and – especially in case of DC-distribution – a slight voltage drop. The power-junctions were basically redesigned and meet the high IP67-, IP68- und IP69 protection class requirements. They are designed to meet the UL2237 requirements necessary for applications on the North American market.

RJ45 patch cords

Furthermore, ESCHA is showing cost- and price-optimized RJ45-connectors for typical patch cord-applications. These are adapted for industrial applications as well as a structured building wiring. ESCHA has launched two new product lines: one with PVC-cable quality for CAT5e-applications and another with FRNC-cable quality for CAT6A-applications respectively including four-pair AWG26-cables available in six various colors (grey, black, yellow, red, blue, green). On request, ESCHA supplies individual lengths of 0.3 m to 50 m. The new RJ45 patch cords are IP20 tested.

Standard, Special, Tailor-made

In addition to the aforementioned premiers, ESCHA is also displaying its comprehensive standard product portfolio as well as numerous interesting modification- and development projects at the SPS IPC Drives. Visitors can get information on all these topics at stand 414 in hall 10 of the Nuremberg trade show.
