ESCHA extends Valve Connector-Range

Halver, 24 January 2013 – At the beginning of last year, the German connector- and housing specialist ESCHA successfully launched a fully redesigned valve connector-generation according to DIN EN 175301-803. New variants, in addition to the existing products in A, B, BI, C, and CI housing styles, were shown at the sps ipc drives trade-show in November 2012. These included: a double-valve connector, an adapter for valve connectors on M12x1-Round connectors as well as a valve connector with a straight cable outlet. These new developments are all immediately available.

The new double-valve connectors in A housing style are approved for a voltage range up to 24V AC/DC and provide for numerous configurations meeting various customer requirements e.g. variants with M12x1-Interface or with injection molded cable are available. The cable length between both valve connectors can be either 15cm or 40cm. Custom-made lengths are naturally possible. To this effect, a UL-listed PUR- as well as a UL-listed PVC-cable quality are available.

The new valve-connector generation with a straight cable outlet is also available in A housing style. Thereby, the cable is led away upwardly from the valve connector making this variant specifically suitable for applications with tight space conditions – e.g. wind power parks. Upon customer request, the valve connectors can be equipped with a threading on the cable outlet for protective tubing. Furthermore, versions with 24V AC/DC or 230V AC/DC operating voltage as well as with or without protective circuits are optional.

As of now, ESCHA offers the new adapter for applications requiring connection with a valve connector via standardized M12x1 connection- or junction cables. This adapter has the M12x1 interface directly on the valve connector which enables an easy, space-saving, and a quick solution.

Due to their basic new design, all types of the valve connector-line take up less space than before. They are dust- and waterproof according to protection class IP67 and meet the IP69K-requirements against water at high pressure and steam jet cleaning. Through their translucent overmold in grey-black, the valve connectors guarantee a very good visibility of the LED-display in all installation positions.
