Adventists in Mexico Participated in the 2023 Interreligious Fair for Peace that was organized to "Combine Doctrines, Values, and Principles Oriented Towards Harmonious Coexistence"
"Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables." Acts 6:2.There are signs indicating that the effort to break down the major divisions in Christendom is in full swing. Despite the fact that the various churches have theological disagreements, and it could be said that they are poles apart, the work of ministering to the spiritual needs of the people with the everlasting gospel of Revelation 14 is being replaced with social activism. The early church worked to save the soul rather than just alleviating the physical body. We have a special message of salvation that must be conveyed to sinners by pointing them to the law of God and the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:12). Unfortunately, this work is being exchanged for the never-ending struggle to solve all the temporal problems of this world. Thanks to ecumenism, the churches of today are abandoning the work of offering eternal life in exchange for serving tables, promoting world peace and establishing harmonious coexistence.
This was clearly evident during the recent 2023 Interreligious Fair for Peace that was held in Sonora, Mexico. The social gospel has become the foundational basis for many Seventh-day Adventists to join with Roman Catholics and Evangelicals to "combine" each other's "doctrines" and efforts in order to establish a new harmonious coexistence. The local news reported about how the churches are blending their different religious beliefs into a new religious framework based on a social mission.
This was a new community partnership between all the churches and the government, all working together for the same goal. Politicians were urging religious organizations to cooperate with the state to advance the "well-being" of its citizens. The problem with this is that the secular government's social agenda on abortion, the LGBT+ movement, feminism, forced health mandates, and other ideologies can sometimes be in conflict with the word of God. These kinds of partnerships undermine the true mission of the church. When churches collaborate with the state, they lose their autonomy and their spiritual emphasis. This always results in the corruption of the pure gospel of Christ, as well as discrimination and persecution against those who choose not to participate or who hold opposing views.
Rome's interest in fostering these church-state relationships and urging all the churches to unite with her is undeniable. As the world moves in this direction, the various churches, including state governments, are becoming increasingly intertwined. In his encyclical Fratelli Tutti, Pope Francis calls for improved relations between all people and the visible unification of all religions into a single body. This can only happen when we abandon truth in exchange for a non-biblical false unity that will lead to the Sunday Law crisis.
"Church and state are now making preparations for the future conflict. Protestants are working in disguise to bring Sunday to the front, as did the Romanists. Throughout the land the papacy is piling up her lofty and massive structures, in the secret recesses of which her former persecutions are to be repeated. And the way is preparing for the manifestation, on a grand scale, of those lying wonders by which, if it were possible, Satan would deceive even the elect" (Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 449).

Let Us Stop Avoiding the Real Issues
As the 2025 General Conference Session convenes, with believers from around the world watching and praying, there is an unmistakable sense of frustration among many of the faithful. While we will be given lectures about returning our tithes and offerings-as outlined in the proposed 2025 Church Manual agenda-we must ask ourselves: is this truly the burning concern on the hearts of God's remnant people at this critical hour in history?

While walking down the hallway at the America's Center Convention Complex-the site of the 62nd General Conference Session-I saw Ganoune Diop approaching.
