Pope Francis' Vision for the Church: "Heal the Wounds, Heal

Since his election, Pope Francis has been on a mission to fundamentally transform not only the Catholic Church but also all other religious communities. One of the most notable changes Pope Francis has brought about is his emphasis on becoming a more welcoming and compassionate church on issues such as homosexuality, abortion, climate change, and social justice. He has also been more willing to engage with other religions and faiths, promoting dialogue and cooperation as a means of establishing fraternity, solidarity, peace, and understanding in the world. On March 17, 2023, the Vatican News published an article titled "Pope Francis has called us to a new way of being church." The article stated:

"Pope Francis outlined his vision for the church, saying, 'The thing the church needs most today is the ability to heal wounds and to warm the hearts of the faithful; it needs nearness, proximity. I see the church as a field hospital after battle. It is useless to ask a seriously injured person if he has high cholesterol and about the level of his blood sugars! You have to heal his wounds. Then we can talk about everything else. Heal the wounds, heal the wounds. And you have to start from the ground up."

These words are significant, especially in light of the fact that we are told in the book of Revelation, Chapter 13, about the vision of two beasts, one of which has a deadly wound that will be healed. The prophecy tells us that this "deadly wound" would be remarkably "healed" (Rev. 13:3), paving the way for a new ascent of the papal "beast" to power and dominion.

Furthermore, it is no coincidence that Pope Francis, who represents the first beast, is calling on us to heal the wounds of the "seriously injured person." The papacy is that injured person, which means that Pope Francis is basically saying, "Heal the deadly wound of Rome."

According to Pope Francis, after all the wounds have been healed, we can then discuss everything else. Brothers and sisters, there won't be anything to discuss once the deadly wound has healed. The deadly wound means the loss of political power that was once used to punish those who refused to submit to Rome. And the healing of the wound symbolizes the resurgence of this church-state power that will result in the mark of the beast crisis and the persecution of all those who refuse to worship the beast.

Rome is desperately seeking to be restored to all its former glory, but the healing of the deadly wound is not something that will happen overnight. This "deadly wound" began to heal when Protestantism began wondering after the beast, thanks to 60 years of ecumenism. As a result, Protestantism is for the most part dead and is no longer a threat to Rome. Protestants are being transformed into an image of the Roman Catholic Church, and this significant act on the part of Protestantism will lay the foundation for setting up the image of the beast in America.

"And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast." Revelation 13:3.

Let Us Stop Avoiding the Real Issues
As the 2025 General Conference Session convenes, with believers from around the world watching and praying, there is an unmistakable sense of frustration among many of the faithful.
