The "MX-4" from markilux receives "Red Dot Design Award"

The "MX-4" is the latest designer model from markilux. Still new on the market, this attractive cassette awning is already the proud winner of the "Red Dot Design Award" 2023. This is a further acknowledgement for the awning specialist that has received the seal of quality, along with multiple other prizes and awards, several times already.

Attractive, intelligent, smart: the perfect way to describe the attributes of products designed by markilux. In particular, the stylish MX family has been able to score highly again and again with its successful look and has brought the awning expert many a design prize. This time it was the turn of the latest model, the cassette awning "MX-4", to impress the high-calibre jury of the "Red Dot Design Award" in the category "Product Design", earning it the coveted award.

The award: a fantastic success
The Red Dot Design Award, based in Essen, Germany, is one of the world's largest and most famous competitions. Every year, it awards prizes for the best design. markilux has been lucky enough to win the award several times for its successful awning designs. A great success for the company as it affirms the creativity embodied in its design concept - especially when you think that a total of around 20,000 concepts are submitted every year. This year, designers and companies from 60 countries in 51 categories in the "Product Design" category alone.

Overall package compelling
The team of developers had anticipated being at the front of the field with the 'MX-4'. After all, they felt that the overall package of aesthetic form, separate LED lights in the design of the awning and special lighting technology with impressive colour effects had a winning quality to it. But they were nevertheless thrilled to hear they had indeed won the prize. The "MX-4" impressed the international jury in terms of its function, attractiveness, practical value and responsibility towards people and the environment. Now, they are looking forward to the award ceremony during "Designers Night" on 19 June in the "Red Dot Design Museum" in Essen.
