From an Ambitious Startup to a Succesful Software Brand combit Celebrates its 25th Anniversary
Constance / Germany, 06/25/2014 - 25 years of benchmark setting software development — that is combit's success story, and also a good reason to celebrate. In order to invite its customers to share in the joy of this momentous anniversary, combit will be giving a 25% discount on all software products from June 25th to July 4th, 2014. Furthermore, in line with combit's green efforts and in collaboration with the aid and development organization Oxfam, a tree will be planted for each incoming order.Details on the offer: www.combit.net/en/25
Even though combit has had its sights set squarely on the future for the past 25 years, a review of its beginnings is a must on its anniversary. According to company records, combit began as a small office at the farthest end of a hallway in the Konstanz Technology Center (TZK). In order to get there, employees had to walk past oil tanks and through massive steel doors. The company's first success was the DataBridge tool for DOS, which, back then, was a revolutionary innovation. Its successor, the still-popular address manager, was developed in the early 90s with an eye on the Windows market. 1992 was a milestone for combit, as that was the year the reporting tool List & Label was born, which later developed into the award-winning report-making giant that is used worldwide today. It was followed by the text module tool SmartKey and the combit Relationship Manager, an all-round star for CRM which was released in 2004. The youngest member of the combit product portfolio is the Report Server, which makes enterprise reporting accessible to everyone.
Within 25 years, combit has established itself as a prominent brand in the German-speaking as well as the international software industries. Humanitarian values are especially prominent in combit's corporate philosophy, and this is made evident by sponsorships for children in Africa and the Philippines. Furthermore, it is with great pride that combit wears the title of "Germany's most environmentally-friendly office comprising up to 500 employees".
combit is optimally equipped for the future. The combit Report Server was released a few weeks ago. The next version of List & Label is being launched in the fall. Christiane Kördel and Peter Magulski, the owners and founders of combit, are extremely excited about this anniversary: "When we see how far combit has come over the years, we and our team can indeed be extremely proud. All our products reflect our spirit of innovation. And our customers are definitely well aware of that. Without them, we would not be standing here today: an established and successful software company on the German and international markets."
Since its founding in 1989, combit and its List & Label reporting tool for developers as well as combit Relationship Manager and address manager business applications have successfully established their position in the reporting and CRM markets. Well over a hundred awards from IT industry journals and their readers, plus a host of highly satisfied customers testify to the success of combit products.
