Leiber GmbH expands international aquaculture business

By signing the distribution contract between Leiber GmbH and the company PHARMAQ AS, headquartered in Norway, Leiber GmbH teams up with a further distribution partner in the growing markets of aquaculture and expands its existing business activities.

PHARMAQ AS develops, produces and markets vaccines and health products for the global fish farming industry. Their customers are found in the salmonid, tilapia, pangasius, sea bass and bream segments. “Pharmaq provides an excellent platform to extend a broad network in the continuously growing market of the aquaculture industry”, Nicolaus Jungbluth, Business Unit Director Animal Nutrition at Leiber GmbH, appreciates the partnership. He also adds: “PHARMAQ brings an outstanding competence in the field of fish health and fish immunology. Through the cooperation we are able to exchange further important experiences in this field and assure both parties’ positions in the market.

For 60 years, Leiber GmbH, located in Bramsche in Lower Saxony, has been one of the leading manufacturers of specialist yeast products “made in Germany”. The natural raw material brewers’ yeast is processed using an innovative biotechnological method to form high-quality products which are used in the areas of animal nutrition, food, food supplements and biotechnology. With two locations in Lower Saxony, as well as further production sites in Poland and Russia, Leiber manufactures brewers’ yeast products and yeast extracts of the highest quality with over 170 committed members of staff.
