Press release from: SOFTPRO GmbH

SignDoc Mobile on Samsung smartphones, tablets and PCs

SignDoc Mobile on Samsung smartphones, tablets and PCs

During CeBIT 2014 the Signature Professionals of Softpro are demonstrating trustworthy signing on tablets and smartphones with appropriate apps like SignDoc Mobile and Sign2Phone at the main booth of Samsung.

The signature experts were invited by the world's largest provider of mobile devices to display their solutions in the "Finance" section of the stand in Hall 2 (B30). A dedicated focus will be the consultation of Samsung's business visitors about methods how to integrate electronic signing easy and flexible into existing workflows.

When operating the app "SignDoc Mobile" on tablets like Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition or Samsung Galaxy 12.2 NotePro contracts may be signed conclusively and legally effective everywhere. The 10 or 12 -inch display of these Samsung Galaxy Note devices are displaying e-forms in a familiar size like ‘classic’ paper forms. Thanks to the high screen resolution of these two tablets even text in small fonts is easy to read.

In connection with laptops and desktop PCs the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 provides an excellent alternative to traditional signature pads. Since February 2014 the app "Sign2Phone" is available in the Samsung Apps store to cater for that purpose.

On both types of devices of the Galaxy Note product family the "S-Pen", a special stylus for data capturing via electromagnetic resonance, caters for a signing experience on the display which is as precise as on paper.

Softpro’s apps do not only capture the image of the signature but also the biometric signals throughout the writing process. These include, in particular up to 1,024 steps of the writing pressure. The data quality of collected signatures also allows authentication with software for automatic signature verification or forensic representation of the data for analysis by writing experts.

These apps also support to leverage signer photos and/or images of IDs (captured with the camera of the tablet or the smartphone) for creation of additional electronic signatures in order to enhance the evidential weight of signed documents.

The captured data is transmitted encrypted via Wi-Fi or available mobile network (e.g. 3G, LTE) to the server. SignDoc captures the biometric data and creates electronic signatures compliant with relevant ISO standards. In the case of allegations of manipulating a document's integrity may be validated by everyone. This all-digital workflow is saving time, money as well as valuable resources.
