Softpro today announced that its electronic signature software, SignDoc, supports Wacom's newly introduced family of electronic signature tablets to the Americas: STU-520, STU-500, and STU-300. In addition to the STU Series of electronic signature capture pads, SignDoc also supports Wacom's popular Bamboo consumer tablet line as well as its higher end interactive pen displays for completing and e-signing documents directly on screen. Softpro offers Wacom customers a 90-day trial of its SignDoc software at www.softpro.de/wacom

"As a leading electronic signature software provider, we're committed to supporting the industry's most popular products," commented Rodney G. Vesling, President, E-signature Solutions at Softpro North America. "With Wacom's introduction today, clients in the US have a broader selection of signature capture devices to choose from. At its core, Wacom offers a robust pen and sensor technology that has been popularized for business applications in the Tablet PC market and now works beautifully in their new signature products.

About SignDoc

SignDoc installs in minutes and immediately enables clients to sign PDF documents with legally binding electronic signatures. Because SignDoc produces an Adobe compliant digital signature, all you need to validate the integrity of the document and the signature in the future is the de facto standard Adobe Reader. Further, SignDoc provides unparalleled flexibility to sign any document format using SignDoc's built-in PDF converter to transform the document to PDF and sign without requiring additional software or plug-ins.

For clients who are seeking a server signing solution or have custom integration requirements, SignDoc Web and SDKs are available to support these needs. The company also provides professional services as requested.

"Softpro is an excellent partner for us. In fact, over the past couple of years, many of our initial signature tablet implementations outside the US were designed and sold through Softpro. We trust their experience, appreciate their solid customer base, and like the fact that their esignature solution brings out the best of our products" said Michael Marcum, Director of Business Development, Wacom Technology Corporation.

About SOFTPRO

The SOFTPRO GmbH is a world leader in developing and marketing products and solutions for digital capture, management and verification of handwritten signatures.

The fastest growing line of business are solutions for E-Signing - in particular biometric signatures. SOFTPRO is offering E-Signing software - from the SDK (SignWare) via desktop clients (SignDoc) to a complete platform for Web-based signing (SignDoc Web). The products support a wide range of devices for signature capturing - from basic pen pads up to Tablet PCs. This can lower your costs, accelerate business processes, eliminate errors and protect documents against manipulation. E-Signing with SOFTPRO is environmentally friendly and thus supports Green IT initiatives and Corporate Social responsibility programs.

The second major division of SOFTPRO is the detection of fraud through automated comparison of signatures. This comparison is primarily used for checks. SOFTPRO’s Automatic Signature Verification is also used to secure the postal ballot (e.g. in the United States and the United Kingdom) and the transfer of pension rights (e.g. in Mexico). Additional fraud analysis tools may be added to the verification process. The results of these complex tests are analyzed, weighted and presented as a holistic risk assessment.

SOFTPRO solutions are currently used in 30 countries on five continents. Ten of the world's 25 largest banks are SOFTPRO customers, as well as insurance, retail and telecommunications companies, public administration, the energy and the health sector.

The parent company of the SOFTPRO group is the SOFTPRO GmbH founded 1983 in Boeblingen near Stuttgart. Three subsidiaries are based in the United States, in the United Kingdom and in Singapore. An additional representation operates in Brazil. The group currently employs around sixty people. SOFTPRO's software is developed "made in Germany".
