„Renewable Energy Talk“ at Vienna University of Technology
Cuba: Booming of Renewable EnergyProf. Deny Oliva Merencio, director of the Centro de Estudio de Tecnologícas Energéticas Renovables (CETER) at the Technical University of Havana, is one of the renowned experts for wind energy in Cuba. He is responsible for the booming of renewable energies in Cuba in recent years. His work on alternative energy concepts is very fruitful, e.g. in February Cuba´s wind park with six wind turbines was inaugurated on Isla de la Juventud. A second wind park near Holguín, in the east of Cuba, is under construction.
The Continuing Education Center is pleased to present Prof. Merencio as keynote speaker at the „Renewable Energy Talk“ at the Vienna University of Technology.

Technology for People – Developing Scientific Excellence and Enhancing Comprehensive Competence
The Vienna University of Technology – located in the heart of Europe and Vienna – is the largest Austrian institution in research and education within the areas of technology and natural sciences. The TU Vienna is also providing impetus for the continuing development of equipment using renewable energy resources. Furthermore the research at TU Vienna is an important contribution to the stimulation of the domestic economy.
In addition the Continuing Education Center of the TU Vienna offers a broad variety of excellent postgraduate programs, e.g. MBA, MSc, and certified programs.
