For the awning specialist, this also includes supporting its specialist dealers in a variety of ways in sales and service. This strengthens the brand and at the same time promotes sales for the specialist dealers.

"It is a challenge to convince end consumers of both the company and its products and build up trust - nowadays, customers expect considerably more from a company than they did just a few years ago. More products, more service and more safety," explains Christiane Berning, Head of the Marketing and Business Development Department at markilux.

A good image ensures good turnover
The awning manufacturer has thus been investing in different marketing instruments and media channels for years now to reach the end consumer. At the same time, the awning manufacturer supports its specialist dealers, too, with a wide range of services in consulting, sales and customer service. "We rely on a smart, diverse marketing strategy and on continuity. Both as far as our own brand identity is concerned and with a view to the specialist craftsmen we work with," explains Ms Berning. Because both are linked to improved image and ensure growing turnover.

Customer Service gives advice to specialist dealers
The service for specialist dealers consists of a mix of print and online advertising particularly for the spring and early summer. For example, there are ad motifs available for download which are already in layout and only need the logo of the relevant specialist dealer to be added. Furthermore, markilux also helps organise special advertising campaigns, in-house exhibitions and other promotional events as well as plan other campaigns as well. Since 2018, specialist dealers have been able to enjoy help from the Customer Service team. This service is intended to demonstrate just how important forward-looking marketing and regular advertising are, and provides in-depth advice on which components of the services offered are suitable.

The services on offer provide support both online and offline
"Our Customer Service team takes the pressure off the specialist craftsmen, particularly during the peak season in spring, and ensures the uniform, professional identity of our brand," says Christiane Berning. For this reason, the company also offers specialist dealers a planning service for showrooms so that markilux products are presented in keeping with the markilux corporate design. Furthermore, extensive digital support is also available: whether when designing specialist dealer websites, in the form of online order entry and the online awning configurator, as well as the Augmented Reality App or with further helpful tools on the company's website.

Brand identity indicates corporate strength
"All this is accompanied by our own advertising-through-image campaigns, radio advertising, social media and press work. And with that, print and online brochures which end consumers can download from the homepage," says the Head of Marketing. This is not just about presenting the company's own range of products, but also to appear as a modern company and a strong regional employer. "It is important to us that our specialist dealers see us as an innovative company and thus a safe partner for the future," Christiane Berning stresses.
