"vuscreen Alu" will once again be part of the new markilux fabric collection

After over a year's break, awning specialist markilux has decided to once again include the fabric "vuscreen Alu" in its portfolio of solar protection materials. The high demand from specialist dealers has convinced the company to offer a limited selection of patterns from early autumn.

At the end of 2021, the fabric "vuscreen Alu" was withdrawn from the current markilux fabric collection for reasons to do with the manufacturing process. Then, at the beginning of this year, the awning manufacturer let it be known that regrettably the material would no longer be part of the new awning fabric collection. But specialist dealers continued to enquire about this special type of fabric. For this reason, the company has gone to great lengths to reintroduce this fabric to its product range.

Four "vuscreen patterns" on offer in future
"The material 'vuscreen Alu' will be a special part of the new 'Collection One' which is officially being introduced into the market in 2023," says Annette Busch, textile designer at markilux. Specifically, the following are on offer: 31709 white, 31707 sand, 31717 beige and 31728 grey. In this way, the company wants to continue the success story of the solar protection fabric. The special thing about "vuscreen Alu" is that, on the one hand, it acts as solar protection but, on the other, it offers sufficient visibility looking into the light and thus a view of the outside world due to its special, open weave. Its effectiveness as solar protection is supported by the special finish the screen fabric has been given. Small aluminium particles, embedded in the coating on the easily-cared-for high-tech polyester fabric, give the material a fine, elegant "silver shimmer" and improve its light and heat reflection properties.

Swatches and fabric hangers will be available from spring 2023
The special cover fabric is particularly suitable for vertical roller blinds. Furthermore, it is perfect for the manufacturer's shadeplus feature, in which an additional blind is lowered to provide protection against a low-lying sun. It is available as an optional extra with certain markilux folding-arm awning models, pergola awnings and underglass awnings. Swatches of the material will be available soon in the markilux fabric store with the sales launch. "We will supply our specialist dealers with the extra fabric sets in good time for the introduction of the new 'Collection One'. We will also add a hanger with the four patterns to the large-format fabric hangers in the showrooms," says Annette Busch. The company hopes this compact selection of "vuscreen patterns" will satisfy specialist dealers and that the material continues to sell well.
