Shri Krishna Janmashtmi Mahotsav at Punjabi Bagh
Sri Krishna Janmashtami is the grandest of all Hindus festivals. The 7 days celebration was successfully completed. The gathering of over 8 to 10 lakhs people attended the Mahotsav during the entire week’s Janmasthmi celebrations . The overwhelming joy and devotion of the krishna devotees was enhanced as the Mahotsav’s celebrations were telecasted t hrough Zee Jagran Channel]. The joy and happiness was evident as devotees chanted , danced, reciting holy songs and kirtan in front of the Deities. Maha Abhishek was performed at 10.30 pm and the auspicious Maha Aarti at midnight when God Krishna was born. There was prasadam distribution to all the devotees/ visitors.
Jai Prakash Aggarwal (MP and president DPCC) inaugurated the Mahotsav in the presence of Mahabal Mishra (MP), Sushil Gupta, Ganga Bishan Gupta, Shiv Kumar Garg, Amrit Singla, Sanjeev Tekdiwal and others.
First day the evening started with a bhajan recital by Uma Lahiri followed by a dance drama named ‘Radha Raas Bihari’ by renowened actress and dancer Hema Malini.
Other singers and artists who performed as a part of this festival were, magician Rajkumar, renowned film actress Minisha Lamba, film actress Tanushri Dutta, dance drama presentation by Bharat Bhardwaj, ‘Nand Utsav’ by Nand Kishor.
Indian idiol fame Neha Kakkar sang famous bhajan and songs followed by folk queen Malini Awasthi enthralled the huge audience on the day of Janmashtmi.
Chief patron of organization said, We are happy to have more than 10 lakhs people in this festival and we are committed to continue the same in the future.
