Where To? for iPhone supports micromobility services

Where To?, the popular iPhone location finder app now supports micromobility services. Users can get to their selected destination using shared bikes, scooters and e-mopeds.

It's spring time in the northern hemisphere - time to leave the car at home and ride to the favorite sushi place or movie theater the green way. With shared bike & scooter services becoming more and more popular, Where To? now integrates many of these services in its bike directions screen.

Where To? version 12 supports more than 120 bike & scooter providers worldwide, serving 700+ cities in 47 countries. Be it Bird, Tier, nextbike or any other provider, the user just selects one and the nearby vehicles and return location are shown on the map. The nearest bike or scooter is picked automatically and can be adjusted according to the user's needs. The complete route, consisting of walking and riding parts, is calculated, including an estimate of the total duration.

Many users like the convenience of electric bikes & scooters. The battery range of electric vehicles is displayed and marked in red if the range is too short for the planned trip. On station-based systems, the number of available bikes or free docks per station is indicated. For bigger shopping tours, the app also integrates cargo bicycles and e-mopeds.

Booking the bike or scooter couldn't be easier: With a single tap, the third party micromobility app is launched or installed.

Ortwin Gentz, FutureTap CEO, comments: "Shared bikes and scooters are a great way to get hassle- and emission-free from A to B. With so many providers on the market, it just can be a bit overwhelming to select the right service - especially when you're out of your home town. Where To? now makes it super-convenient to hop on the next scooter or bike - no matter which brand."

Where To? 12 also supports the "Bike Citizens" app for bicycle directions and tracking.
