All Germanwings Fares bookable via Direct Connect through HitchHiker
All new Germanwings Fares, including the low priced Basic Fares, are bookable via the HitchHiker Flight APIFrom July 1st, 2013 all Lufthansa short- and medium-haul flights not operating from or to the main hubs Frankfurt and Munich will be served by Lufthansa’s subsidiary Germanwings.
For these flights, Germanwings offers a three-tiered fare structure, of which only two are made available in the GDS. The lowest fare, named Basic, will only be available on either Germanwings’ own website, or directly in Germanwings’ own reservation system.
HitchHiker has been operating a direct connection to the Germanwings reservation system for over 6 years now. This API connection continues to allow all HitchHiker customers to sell all Germanwings fares, including the Basic Fares, over end-consumer websites, agent platforms, call center and packages in their own tour operator systems.
