Associated Builders & Contractors Selects Concare for the 2012 Award for Merit

Award of Merit for Specialty Contracting presented to Concare for floor protection solutions at Otis Spunkmeyer and Vitamins, Inc.

Concare announced today that the company has been awarded the 2012 Award for Merit from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), a National trade association representing merit shop contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and related firms in the United States.

Concare received two Awards for Merit: Otis Spunkmeyer and Vitamins Inc. Each award reflects Concare's on-time completion record, its long history of installation / workmanship excellence and detailed project management.

At Otis Spunkmeyer, Concare achieved a 3 day installation turnaround in an active production facility by executing half of the floor at a time in order to minimize production downtime. The flooring solution is slip resistant, pitched for proper drainage, coved around the legs of the equipment and contains critical safety areas for traffic. A year after installation, the floor continues to perform with Otis Spunkmeyer performing general maintenance.

At Vitamins Inc., Concare installed a flooring solution that demanded high sanitation requirements from Vitamins, their customers and the FDA. To ensure greatest effectiveness, the floor was laser leveled and tested for maximum drainage of all liquids and protected with an anti-microbial flooring solution that prevents the growth of microbes.

The award was presented to Ron Puszynski, president of Concare and Chris Puszynski, vice president and treasurer of Concare by Mike Wente, Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC), Illinois Chapter Chairman and Eric Regelin, ABC National Chairman in an awards ceremony on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel & Conference Center, Springfield IL.
