TUI.com and TUI Deutschland put their trust in optivo® broadmail for their email marketing needs

Berlin, 14 November 2012 – optivo expands cooperation with the TUI Group: following TUI Cruises, TUI Austria and TUI Suisse, TUI.com and TUI Deutschland now also make the switch to optivo® broadmail for their email communication with travel customers. To kick off the cooperation with Germany’s leading tour operator, the launch of the “meine TUI” (“my TUI”) service portal was accompanied by optivo.

The online service that went live in August is a good example for the interlinking of both the off and online channels. The portal pools general information and practical tips that may be of interest to customers of Germany‟s leading tour operator – and allows this to be accessed before, during and after the trip. After completing their booking at the travel agent, TUI customers can see all personalised information pertaining to their trip on www.meine-tui.de. This free and individualised service gives information on flights, highlights in the holiday region and also provides customers with a currency converter and a handy holiday checklist. In addition, the service portal is designed for realising targeted cross-selling opportunities. It enables customers to book a rental car prior to embarking on their trip directly from the comfort of their home on “meine TUI”.

optivo® broadmail allows email communication to be conducted in an automated and highly individualised manner. The flow of communication following completion of a booking in a travel agency is tailored to the individual travel countdown of each TUI customer. This commences with the subscription of the newsletter and is seamlessly followed with a series of transactional emails. As such, TUI dispatches three so-called “countdown emails” prior to departure, providing, for example, details on rental car offers or other useful travel information. Upon returning, users are sent a “welcome back” email – which may be paired with a questionnaire on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, birthday emails are also sent to support customer loyalty.

The email communication process is organised via a central template that was specially designed by optivo. The “look & feel” is adjusted for the particular brand. TUI benefits from the productive “Publish Mailing” function, which performs the timesaving task of copying the mailing content for the various clients.
